The Vancouver Pioneers handed the Bighorn Bison a 4-2 defeat at "The Fort" at B.C. Place. Second Baseman Colin Magne starred for Vancouver. He was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times. Clay Clermont finished the game for Vancouver and earned his 8th save. With the win, Vancouver upped its record to 19-19.

Ryan Welch went 1 for 3 for Vancouver. The 26-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Jeremy Turner. It was his 26th RBI of the season.

"That's how you're going to be successful," said Pioneers manager Lemn Onkwani. "It starts with pitching and it will always be pitching."
