The first-place Montreal Mounties picked up another win.

Montreal right fielder Chris Elliott contributed significantly to his team's 8-6 win over the Cabo San Lucas Toreros. Elliott, who is tied for 4th in the RCL in total bases with 91, went 2 for 4 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Mounties. Larry Vincent, 2-0, earned the win in relief. He allowed 1 run on 4 hits in 1.1 innings. The save was credited to Bill Wolfe, his 14th.

With the game tied, 5-5, in the bottom of the seventh, Elliott had a key at-bat for Montreal. With runners on 1st and 2nd, Elliott hit a run-scoring single off Justin Dietrich, making the score 6-5, Mounties.
