The inspired effort of Buffalo designated hitter Will Moreno was not enough to prevent a loss, 9-8, to the Milwaukee Millers. Moreno was 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. The defeat makes Buffalo 20-20.

Milwaukee needed the clutch hitting of Cade Bruett Jr. to seal the deal. The shortstop swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Millers on top, 9-7. For the game, Bruett Jr. had 1 home run and 1 single in 6 at-bats.

"It was a test of wills," said Daniel Breuer, the Milwaukee skipper. "I'm glad we came out of it with a win."
