Gremlins Collect 7-3 Win Versus Eagle Rock
Houghton pitcher Jeromir Hamrlik did his part in helping his team beat the Eagle Rock Ridge Runners, 7-3. The left-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. The winning pitcher was Hamrlik, now 4-2. He tossed 7.1 innings of 2-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 5. The 4th-place Ridge Runners dropped to 17-19.

Leo Galdamez had a big 2-run double for the Gremlins in the top of the second inning. With Houghton leading 3-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a changeup from Ricky Rocker, who is tied for 2nd in the RCL in wins with 4, and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 15th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Gremlins ahead, 5-0.

Galdamez called the win "a team effort."
