The Walnut Creek Warriors dealt the Hawaii Honu a 6-3 loss at Aloha Stadium. Mike Duffy, who is tied for 5th in the TML in doubles with 15, was the star on offense. He was 2-4 with 2 home runs and a walk. Walnut Creek pitcher Joseph Fredericks got the win, upping his record to 3-3. Carlos Avila got the loss. The save was credited to Russ Gilleo, his 12th.

Walnut Creek used a clutch at-bat from Kevin McArdle to capture the win. The first baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Warriors ahead, 4-2. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"I think it speaks for itself, I think we came out and we played our kind of baseball," said McArdle.

The 5th-place Honu now sit at 17-23.
