The Milwaukee Millers used a great performance from David Austin, who is tied for 9th in the TML with a 7.3 K/9 rate, to beat the Vancouver Pioneers, 2-0, at "The Fort" at B.C. Place. At 23-12, Milwaukee is in first place in the Thurman Munson League Billy Martin Division.

Milwaukee used the hitting of Jared LaBorde to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Millers on top, 2-0. For the game, LaBorde had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"Clutch hitting plus clutch pitching usually equals a win," said LaBorde.
