Starting pitcher Raul Padilla fulfilled his part of the bargain, helping the Quebec Armada stymie the El Paso Mavericks, 5-2. The first-place Armada have won 4 consecutive games.

Had Fernando Puente not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Puente hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Armada.
