Chicago left-hander Alberto Calderon helped his team edge Quebec by the score of 2-1. Calderon kept the opposing lineup in check. The winning pitcher was Calderon, now 8-0. He tossed 5.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 6. Cody Paskert finished the game for Chicago and earned his 2nd save.
Chicago second baseman Eli Neff contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the third. With two down, he hit a fastball to left field for a run-scoring single. It was his 50th hit of the season and put the Eclipse ahead, 2-0.
"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said Calderon.
The Eclipse now have a record of 30-12 with the win over Quebec.
