The Kansas City Tornadoes topped the Havana Stogies, 6-2, in Roberto Clemente League action at Debris Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Kansas City third baseman Matt Cardon. Paul Alexander, who went 5.2 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 2 runs on 2 hits, while walking 5 and striking out 1. His record now stands at 2-4. The 5th-place Tornadoes hiked their record to 21-23.

The Tornadoes got a big at-bat from shortstop Vinnie Fasnacht. For the game, Fasnacht went 2-3 with 2 doubles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 14th double of the season gave Kansas City a 3-1 lead.
