The El Paso Mavericks defeated the Eagle Rock Ridge Runners in 12 innings, 8-6, in part because of third baseman Jeff Gifford. Gifford hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 4 for the Mavericks. With the victory, the Mavericks upped their record to 22-22.

El Paso needed the clutch hitting of Brad Coates to seal the deal. The shortstop swatted a solo home run in the top of the 12th inning to put the Mavericks on top, 7-6. For the game, Coates had 1 home run and 1 single in 6 at-bats.
