Stogies Lose By a Run at Quebec
Fans witnessed a whale of a game between the Quebec Armada and Havana Stogies.

The Quebec Armada knocked off the Havana Stogies, 4-3, in Roberto Clemente League action at Lucky 7 Ballpark. Quebec pitcher and Manhattan Beach, California, native John Tuck had an outstanding performance. In 7 innings, Tuck surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 11 and walking 1. He allowed 3 runs.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the sixth, with the game tied, Dan Nieman was at the plate when Quebec scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Armada to go in front, 4-3.

"John was able to execute his pitches," said Quebec manager Ramu Pavi. "Simple as that."

The setback makes Havana 19-24.
