Saxton Stars for Bison in 9-3 Win
|
The Bighorn Bison pinned a convincing loss on the Maple Marauders, 9-3, at Ram Brewery Ballpark. Matt Saxton was a main factor in the win. He was 3-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 5 runs and scored once for Bighorn. The Bison, at 18-25, sit in last place in the Thurman Munson League West Division.
Riley Andrus, who is on pace for 109 RBI this season, chipped in a run-scoring single for Bighorn in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the designated hitter had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.
