The Chicago Eclipse did just enough to sneak past the Eagle Rock Ridge Runners, 7-6, at Millennium Field. Chicago pitcher Dan Esgro, in particular, had a standout performance. Dan Esgro picked up the win in relief for Chicago, while Bryan Young took the loss. Chicago goes to 32-13. The win puts them 5½ games up in their division.

Israel Cardenas was the walk-off hero for Chicago. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Eclipse pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"It wasn't a pretty victory," said Cardenas, "but we got it done."
