Tornadoes Come Up Short at Pennsylvania, 5-4
The Pennsylvania Butterflies overcame a pretty good performance by Kansas City shortstop Vinnie Fasnacht, beating the Tornadoes, 5-4, at The Kaleidoscope. Fasnacht went 2 for 3 with 2 singles, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 2 runs. Jason Phillips finished to wrap up his 11th save. The first-place Butterflies bumped their record to 26-13.

The Butterflies got a big at-bat from shortstop Dave de la Torre. For the game, de la Torre was 1 for 4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 12th double of the season gave Pennsylvania a 4-3 lead.

"This is truly a great team to play with," de la Torre said after the game. "We're like brothers, and when we come together to pull out the win, that just makes it all the better."
