Millers Squeeze By San Francisco, 4-3
|
The Milwaukee Millers racked up a win at Golden Gate Park, bumping off the San Francisco Earthquakes, 4-3, in 10 innings. Alex Solis, who started for Milwaukee, pitched effectively for his team. The winner in relief was Paul Bender. He is now 2-1. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. Steve Herring picked up the save, his 6th.
Jeremy LeJeune, who is tied for 10th in the TML with a .408 on-base percentage, had a direct impact on the outcome. LeJeune contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the tenth inning to put Milwaukee up, 4-3.
"It feels good to get this one," Solis told the Milwaukee Gazette.
The Millers go to 16-23 with the win.
