The Cabo San Lucas Toreros thumped the Mexico City Luchadores, 8-2, at Field de Los Layendas. Mark Carrozza was a big reason his team got the win. Carrozza was 3-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. Justin Dietrich, the winner, improved to 4-4. He held Mexico City to 1 run on 4 hits over 6.1 innings, while racking up 7 strikeouts. The Toreros now have a mark of 19-28.

Chris Hogan had a big grand slam home run for the Toreros in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Cabo San Lucas leading 3-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Duane Alcock, who is tied for 3rd in the RCL in complete games with 2, and swatted a home run to left. It was his 4th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Toreros ahead, 7-0.
