The San Francisco Earthquakes defeated the Vancouver Pioneers, 11-5. Doing his part was left fielder Junior Leeney, who was 2 for 5 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Jared Ritsch picked up the win, improving his season record to 2-3. He struck out 6 in 6 innings. Jeff Agin recorded his 1st save for San Francisco.

With San Francisco leading 4-3 in the top of the seventh, Leeney hit a fastball from Jeff Prudhomme for a 3-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Earthquakes ahead, 7-3.

"I liked our effort," said Earthquakes manager Zayar Adelabu.

The setback makes Vancouver 22-24.
