The Havana Stogies defeated the Eureka Hornets, 12-5, at The Humidor. Havana was led by two-time All-Star Tommy Ivester, who went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. The win was credited to Ignazio Menichelli in relief. His record improves to 1-3. Nimulodi Bausi took the loss. Havana is last in the Roberto Clemente League International Division with a record of 21-28.

Had Maurice Edwards not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Edwards hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Stogies.
