The Moonbeam Martians soundly defeated the Hazleton Birdwings, 14-1, at Road Warriors Field, with right fielder Mike Clark a major reason why. He was 3-5 with 3 singles and a walk. He scored 4 times and drove in 2 for Moonbeam. Moonbeam, now 4-0, is setting the league on fire so far.
Paul Paolini helped his team take an early lead with a 2-run single. It came in the first inning, making the score 2-0, Martians.
"Not much went right for us," Hazleton manager Roberto Flores said, when asked afterward about the game.
