Wilson Leads Houston Past St. Petersburg
|
Jonathan Wilson pitched a gem to lead Houston to victory over the St. Petersburg Pelicans, 9-0. Houston has a record of 3-2.
Wilson earned the win, going 7.2 strong innings for Houston. The native of Birmingham, Alabama, allowed just 2 hits, while striking out 13. St. Petersburg hitters did next to nothing against the right-hander.
"Jonathan was the difference maker. He was emotionally under control, had good stuff and makeup," said Houston manager Barnabé Bacm.
