Niagara Falls Gets 4-1 Road Win
|
Niagara Falls turned a good effort from starter Chris Cohen into a win over the Eugene Emeralds at Prefontaine Park. The final score was 4-1. Mitch Rahill earned his 1st save, after closing out the game. After losing, Eugene is 0-4.
Niagara Falls used the timely hitting of Jeff Jessel to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Barrels on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Chris went out and did what we needed," said Niagara Falls manager Ewan Pethick.
