The West Island Jazz besoiled an otherwise fine performance by Kansas City first baseman Roberto Navarro by beating the Tornadoes, 6-4, at Stade Claude Raymond. Navarro was 2-2 with a double and 3 walks. He scored 2 runs. West Island now has a record of 27-23 with the win.

West Island took advantage of an error in the bottom of the seventh inning. The game was tied, 4-4, when Kenny Cox hit a 2-run single that was misplayed. It put the Jazz in front, 6-4.

"Enjoyed this one," Cox told the West Island Bulletin. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
