The Dallas Texans beat the Cairo Pharaohs, 9-6, at The Pyramid. Matt Mulholland was 4-4 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2. The 22-year old second baseman was a menace to Cairo all day. Trevor Bowe came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. His record now stands at 1-2. Jeff Dempsey was called on to finish, recording his 5th save.

Miguel Portugal had a clutch at-bat with one out in the top of the sixth for the Texans. Coming up with the bases loaded and Dallas trailing 6-5, he hit a 2-run single.

"We got the victory," said Portugal. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."

The Texans go to 16-26, putting them 6th in the Roberto Clemente League Mike Brouillette Division.
