10-8 Win Makes It 6 Straight for Bandits
|
Bandits first baseman Luis Reyes left his mark on his team's 10-8 win over the San Antonio River Bandits. Reyes went 1 for 2 with a home run and 3 walks, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 for Brownsville in the contest. The win went to Alfredo Mondragon in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Alex Alvarado took the loss. Julio Roldan earned save number 1 this season.
Brownsville shortstop Ryan Quigley contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the sixth. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 4th hit of the season and put the Bandits ahead, 6-3.
"It's always nice to be on the winning side," Quigley told the Brownsville Bulletin. "But we take nothing for granted."
Brownsville has a record of 6-1.
