Oconomowoc wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Matt Milligan, falling to the Chippewa River Chiefs, 3-2. Milligan threw 8.0 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. Chippewa pitcher Dan Schmus earned the win, hiking his record to 1-0. Rodolfo Alarcon suffered the loss. The loss lowers the Oconomowoc record to 4-4.

Elias Spaans was the walk-off hero for Chippewa. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the River Chiefs designated hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"Drama and more drama," said River Chiefs manager Pang Yip. "That's baseball at its finest."
