The St. Petersburg Pelicans beat the Niagara Falls Barrels, 10-9, in 10 innings, in part because of second baseman Ricky Rosado. He went 4-5 with a triple, 3 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. "Lousy" describes the Niagara Falls performance in the early going.

The game was all tied up in the top of the tenth, until Rosado delivered big-time for St. Petersburg, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off Willie Riojas. The game-changing hit put the Pelicans on top, 10-9.
