The Memphis Blues converted a terrific effort from starter Jose Ibarra into a win over the Okanagan Lake Monsters at Elks Stadium. The Blues won the game by a final score of 3-2. Ibarra yielded no runs over 5.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered no hits, walked 3, and struck out 8. His record improves to 2-0. Memphis is now 9-7.
The Blues got a big at-bat from catcher Brandon Hatch. For the game, Hatch went 1-3 with a triple and was hit by a pitch, while adding 2 RBI. In the top of the first, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run triple. His 1st triple of the season gave Memphis a 2-0 lead.
"Thought I threw pretty well and overall I felt good," said Ibarra.
