Mavericks Come Back Late to Top Slice, 6-3
Mavericks first baseman James Adkinson left his imprint on his team's 6-3 win over the Manhattan Slice. Adkinson went 2-2 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for El Paso in the contest. Eric Reichel picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Jim Metcalfe suffered the loss. With the loss, Manhattan is 3-2.

The decisive blow was delivered by Nate Perlson in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a 3-run home run off 23-year old right-handed pitcher Jim Metcalfe to win the game for El Paso. The home crowd went nuts.

"Great to get the crowd on its feet," Adkinson said.
