Bandits Tag Pelicans with 5-1 Loss
The Brownsville Bandits called upon starter Esteban Altamirano, and he delivered, leading his team to victory over the St. Petersburg Pelicans, 5-1. Altamirano yielded 1 run over 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 2, and struck out 7. His record improves to 2-1. Now 2-22, the 2064 Pelicans have been dreadful.

It could have been a different outcome for Brownsville, had it not been for Dave Scarlett, the 19-year old right fielder . Scarlett contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the sixth inning to put Brownsville up, 3-0.
