The Moonbeam Martians easily defeated the Houston Sting, 18-1, at Abbey Stadium, with right fielder Tom Verbeek a main contributor to the win. He was 2 for 4 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 4 times for Moonbeam. Moonbeam reliever Jesus Trevino picked up the win, upping his record to 3-0. Jonathan Wilson was saddled with the loss. Santos Lorenzana closed the game out for Moonbeam, earning his 1st save.
