Brownsville left fielder Ramon Rivera made his presence felt in the 8-5 Bandits triumph over the Eugene Emeralds. Rivera was 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk, while scoring 3 and driving in 4. Justin Andes earned the save for Brownsville, his 1st of the year. The win moves Brownsville to a record of 15-5.

Brownsville first baseman Luis Reyes contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With two down, he hit a changeup to left field for a 2-run single. It was his 23rd hit of the season and put the Bandits ahead, 8-5.

"When the ball finds the sweet spot," said Rivera, "I can't complain."
