The Marshall Lawmen topped the Eugene Emeralds, 10-5, with youngster Ezequiel Ramos playing a key role. Ramos was 2 for 3 with 2 singles and 2 walks, while scoring 3 for the Lawmen in the win. Now 8-14, the Emeralds have not played well this season.

Marshall shortstop Mike Olinger contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the seventh. With two down, he hit a fastball to right-center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 15th hit of the season and put the Lawmen ahead, 6-4.

"To get where we want to as a team, we all have to do things out of our comfort zone," Olinger told the Marshall Chronicle.
