Brisbane pitcher Esteban Castaneda did his part in helping his team defeat the St. Petersburg Pelicans, 8-0. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Castaneda picked up the win for Brisbane, going 5.2 innings. He gave up no runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 3-4. The save went to Bob Williams, his 1st this season.

The Pelicans had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Bush Wackers going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 22-year old left fielder D.J. Reinhardt came to the plate. Reinhardt hit a 2-run double on a 1-1 fastball from St. Petersburg hurler Carlos Asencio. It was Reinhardt's 5th double of the year.
