Vikings Drop 11-7 Decision to Knights
The Kingwood Knights and Victoria Vikings completed their game despite the rain.

Behind the hitting of Adam Avery, the Kingwood Knights defeated the Victoria Vikings, 11-7. Avery was 1-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 4 for the Knights. Every game is important, even these early ones, if the Knights hope to make a postseason run.

In the bottom of the seventh, the Knights grabbed the lead when Avery hit his 5th home run of the season. The grand slam home run off Cory Rumley made it 11-7, Kingwood.

"We were able to put some good swings on some pitches," Avery told the Kingwood Daily.
