The Ottawa Civics knocked off the St. Paul Saints, 4-0, in TML A action at Saints Ballpark. Ottawa pitcher and Ozark, Missouri, native John Haslam had an outstanding performance. Greg Pond finished the game for Ottawa and earned his 2nd save. The loss has the Saints at 8-18.

Pat Deering had a direct impact on the outcome. Deering contributed a run-scoring hit-by-pitch in the top of the fourth inning to put Ottawa up, 2-0.
