Loss to River Bandits Extends San Angelo Losing Streak
Francisco Pereda, who is rated as the 4th best prospect by BNN, was locked in. The right-hander led the San Antonio River Bandits to a 7-2 win against the San Angelo Mustangs at Heartland Kettlecorn Stadium. The winner was Pereda. He threw 5.2 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Moises Perez. To call the performance of the 2062 Mustangs disappointing is an understatement.

Bruno Chauveau had a big 2-run home run for the River Bandits in the top of the first inning. With San Antonio leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a fastball from 21-year old right-handed pitcher Moises Perez and punished it. The result was his 3rd home run of the season, which put the River Bandits on top, 3-0.

"We're not going to feel sorry for ourselves," said San Angelo skipper Trey Burrell. "Wouldn't do any good."
