The Carmel Apples knocked off the Brownsville Bandits, 9-4, at BLM Stadium. Ian Dalton was a big reason Carmel won. The right fielder was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. The victory makes Carmel 23-8.

Early in the game, first baseman Rich Van Winkle had a 3-run home run for Carmel. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Apples on top, 4-1.

Carmel manager Hi-yuan Pan was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys went out there and put good wood on the ball," he said.
