Sting Snatch 3-2 Win
|
The Houston Sting scooped up a win at BLM Stadium, dumping the Carmel Apples, 3-2. Chris Piotrowski, the 10th overall pick in the 2063 draft, was essential to his team's success. Houston reliever Chris Piotrowski, who is rated as the 38th best prospect by BNN, was credited with the win. His record goes to 4-2. Jonathan Johnson took the loss for Carmel. Carey Leblanc closed it out for his 8th save.
Houston relied on the bat of Todd Frank to get the win. The designated hitter ripped a 2-run triple in the top of the fifth inning to put the Sting ahead, 3-2. For the game, Frank had 1 double and 1 triple in 4 at-bats.
"Chris looked very determined to have a good game," said Houston manager Barnabé Bacm. "He was totally focused and he produced."
The 4th-place Sting improved to 19-20.
