With Late Score, Sting Beat Bandits
The Houston Sting beat the Brownsville Bandits, 7-6, in 11 innings at Woodland Park. Houston designated hitter Todd Frank had an outstanding performance. He went 3-5 with 2 home runs, a double, and a walk. Efrain Padilla, now 3-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. The 'W' lifts Houston's record to 21-23.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 11th. With one out, Frank hit a fastball from Fernando Valdivia for a solo home run. The Sting, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"The game of baseball will test you," said Barnabé Bacm, the Houston skipper. "This one tested us."
