Shortstop Howse 3-for-4, Steals Spotlight in Okanagan Rout
The Okanagan Lake Monsters downed the Chippewa River Chiefs, 12-2. The hitting star was second baseman Wilbert Howse. Howse went 3-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Lake Monsters. Nick Sampayo got credit for the win, improving to 2-0. He allowed no runs on 3 hits in 4.2 innings. Okanagan is now 23-17, 2½ games up in the TML A Dick Williams Division.

Howse had a big at-bat with the bases empty in the bottom of the first inning, when he hit a solo home run. The Lake Monsters went on to win.

Chippewa manager Pang Yip called the blowout loss "not my idea of a good time."
