Earthquakes Beaten By Sasquatch, 6-2
|
Seattle turned a fine outing from starter Travis Reske into a victory over the San Francisco Earthquakes at Golden Gate Park. The final score was 6-2. Reske, now 6-5, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 6, walking 2, and allowing 2 runs. By defeating San Francisco, the 4th-place Sasquatch improved to 23-29.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Brent Alexander? The Seattle left fielder had a run-scoring double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Sasquatch on top, 2-1. For the game, Alexander had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"When Travis is on, he can really move the ball around," said Seattle manager Vicente Vargas.
