Sasquatch Suffer One-Run Loss at Hawaii
|
The Hawaii Honu locked up a win at Aloha Stadium, knocking off the Seattle Sasquatch, 4-3. On the mound for Hawaii was right-hander Kirk Hojnacki. He played a major role in the triumph. Hawaii is 22-32 and Seattle, with the loss, 25-29.
Zach Jackson had a big 2-run home run for the Honu in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Hawaii leading 2-1 and a runner on 1st, he got a sinker from Jason Sanders and swatted a home run to right. It was his 6th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Honu ahead, 4-1.
"The other side took advantage in some key situations," said Seattle manager Alim bin Umar.
