Gnats Win with Late Rally
Ben Saylor was instrumental in his team's 8-7, extra-inning triumph over the Okanagan Lake Monsters. The right fielder went 4 for 4 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk for the Nichols Gnats. Harry Fielding, 2-2, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. The loss makes Okanagan 25-26.

Nichols used the timely hitting of Nate Kollath to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Gnats on top, 8-7. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"Baseball is about momentum," said Saylor, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
