Suggs Lifts Blues to 7-6 Win
A good performance from third baseman Forrest Suggs helped the Memphis Blues defeat the St. Paul Saints, 7-6. Suggs was 3 for 5 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for the Blues. Marty Cordoba picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Andres Pabon was tagged with the loss. The save was credited to Bobby Gottlieb, his 13th.

Memphis used the timely hitting of Francisco Robles to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Blues on top, 6-5. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We got the victory," said Suggs. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."

Memphis, now 35-15, holds down second place in the TML HA Earl Weaver Division.
