Dalton 3-for-3 to Fuel Apples Offense
The Carmel Apples defeated the Memphis Blues, 9-5, at BLM Stadium. Carmel right fielder Ian Dalton had a superb performance. He went 3 for 3 with a double, 2 singles, and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Carmel pitcher Nick Fortenberry got the win, upping his record to 5-2. Ralph Boulter got the loss. Carmel, at 32-9, holds down first place in the TML A Earl Weaver Division.

Travis Brackett aided the Carmel cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the designated hitter went 1 for 4.

"Winning is all that really matters and we got it done today," Dalton told the Carmel Citizen.
