Chippewa Collects 4-1 Win
The Chippewa River Chiefs wanted a good start from Brett Bunn -- and he delivered one. The result was a 4-1 Chippewa win over the Niagara Falls Barrels at Horseshoe Park. Victor Salinas recorded the save, his 3rd. Chippewa is 24-20 and Niagara Falls, with the loss, 27-18.

Chippewa used a well-timed hit by Mike Devine to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth inning to put the River Chiefs ahead, 2-1. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.

Devine attributed the win to his team's "focus and intensity."
