Lake Monsters Turn Back Saints, 4-3
|
Okanagan played host to St. Paul at Elks Stadium.
Dante Vidrio, who is tied for 7th in the THA in complete games with 1, was locked in. The left-hander led the Okanagan Lake Monsters to a 4-3 win against the St. Paul Saints at Elks Stadium. Vidrio, now 3-5, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 7, walking 2, and allowing 3 runs. Jorge Ramirez saved it for Okanagan.
Juan Martinez, who is tied for 7th in the THA in triples with 2, helped out the Okanagan cause in the bottom of the third inning with a run-scoring ground out. For the game, the first baseman went 2-4 with 2 singles.
Martinez called the win a testament to his team's "tenacity."
