Bel Air Dials Up 3-1 Win
|
Nick Fortenberry, who leads the RHA in complete games with 2, pitched well, but the Carmel Apples still fell short, losing, 3-1, to the Bel Air Princes at Philip Banks Field. Bel Air pitcher Rowland Lester got the win. He's now 4-1. Nick Fortenberry was tagged with the loss. Earning his 13th save for Bel Air was Josh Melton.
Bel Air took a 3-1 lead on Noel Kirkman's 3rd double of the season. The 2-run double, which Kirkman hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Carmel pitcher Nick Fortenberry visibly frustrated.
"We need better swings, better at-bats," said losing manager Hi-yuan Pan.
Bel Air, at 34-21, occupies first place in the RCL HA Tommy Lasorda Division.
