Mavericks Rally to Eke Out Win
The El Paso Mavericks faced a tough opponent in Bloomington pitcher Mario Solis, but found a way to pull out the victory at The Corral by a final score of 5-4 in 12 innings. Solis went 5.1 innings and allowed 1 run. The 'W' lifts El Paso's record to 26-29.

The decisive blow was delivered by Matt Dahlk in the bottom of the 12th when he hit a solo home run off 26-year old left-handed pitcher Mario Solis to win the game for El Paso. The home crowd went nuts.

"It's not about individual awards," Dahlk told a El Paso Herald reporter after the game. "It's about winning championships. That's what we play for."
