|
Jonathan Minns was superb against Bel Air. The left-hander, who is tied for 4th in the THA in complete games with 2, had a fastball that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Civics victory. The score was 4-1. The triumph puts Ottawa at 40-17 for the season.
The famously hardworking Minns handled the Princes all day, notching 9 strikeouts in 7.1 innings while allowing 3 hits. Minns, who is tied for 3rd in the THA with a 2.35 ERA, goes to 5-1 on the year with 69 strikeouts.
"Some wins are easy and some are difficult, but either way we come to the ballpark ready to work hard every day," Minns told the Ottawa Daily News.
