Memphis Gets 7-1 Win
The Memphis Blues beat the San Angelo Mustangs, 7-1, at Heartland Kettlecorn Stadium. Rich Tooze went 2-5 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The 22-year old center fielder was a menace to San Angelo all day. Ralph Boulter notched the win in relief. The left-hander allowed 1 run on 6 hits in 3.2 innings. His record now sits at 2-1. The 4th-place Blues lifted their record to 30-19.

Memphis used a clutch at-bat from Francisco Robles to capture the win. The right fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Blues ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"Anytime you're seeing it well, it's a good feeling," Tooze told the Memphis Chronicle.
