Warriors Fall Short, 6-5, at San Antonio
|
River Bandits second baseman Dan Carnes put his stamp on his team's 6-5 win over the Moose Jaw Warriors. Carnes went 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk. He scored 3 runs for San Antonio in the contest. Alex Moreno got the win, improving to 2-1. He held the Warriors to 1 run on 3 hits over 5.1 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 3. The River Bandits go to 29-21, putting them second in the RCL A Tommy Lasorda Division.
Luis Camacho, who is tied for 9th in the RA in stolen bases with 6, helped out the San Antonio cause in the bottom of the fifth inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the center fielder was 1 for 2.
"We had situations where we should have got some runs in, but we didn't get the runs in," said losing manager José Soto.
