Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the San Antonio River Bandits and Eugene Emeralds.

Though he had a terrific game, Brad Zubke could not prevent his team, the Eugene Emeralds, from absorbing a loss. San Antonio won the game, 5-2. Zubke was 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. With the win, the River Bandits improved to 30-21.

Chris Peters drove in one run for San Antonio. The 24-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the seventh. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off John Vance. It was his 3rd RBI of the season.

"Solid game, solid win tonight," said a smiling Peters.
