The home team gave the crowd at Philip Banks Field something to cheer about.

The Bel Air Princes buried the St. Petersburg Pelicans, 16-1, under a barrage of hits. Andrew Hanrahan led the onslaught, going 2-for-4 for Bel Air. Alfredo Valdez, credited with the win in relief, is now 1-1. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings.

Bel Air left fielder Danny Perales contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the third. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 46th hit of the season and put the Princes ahead, 4-1.

"Not much drama in this one," said Hanrahan.

The Princes raised their record to 20-33.
