Arnold Field was the site for Thurman Munson League action featuring the San Francisco Earthquakes and Jacksonville Pilots.

David del Olmo was terrific for the Jacksonville Pilots in his team's 7-1 triumph over the San Francisco Earthquakes. His performance earned del Olmo rave reviews. del Olmo yielded no runs over 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 3, and struck out 3. His record improves to 1-0.

Shane Burt had a big 2-run double for the Pilots in the bottom of the first inning. With Jacksonville leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from 32-year old right-handed pitcher Tim Boyd and swatted a double to right. It was his 1st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Pilots ahead, 3-0.

"David was able to locate to both sides, up and down," said Jacksonville manager Ryan Currie.

The loss lowers the San Francisco record to 3-2.
